What Does This Mean?

Starting system components include the ignition switch, solenoid (starter relay), and the starter motor. When the starter motor is activated, it turns the engine until your car starts.

This system is dependent upon the charging system, which is composed of the battery and alternator. A weak battery creates added stress on the alternator and starter. This is especially true in extreme temperatures. Not only involved in starting your vehicle, the battery provides the electrical current required to run on-board computers and emergency power needs. It's a good idea to limit the use of battery power when your car is not running.
